Hair Loss Garlic and Onion Treatment

How to apply it?

Onion

Onion oil is rich in sulfur which prevents breakage, split ends and thinning of hair. The ingredients in onion that actually promote hair thickness and growth are as follows:

Dietary sulfur 

Sulfur is one of the most prominent minerals in the human body and helps the production of enzymes and proteins. It is a big part of the keratin that actually is the hair protein. Sulfur helps to nourish the hair and to prolongate the hair growth phase.

Antioxidants

They help the body to fight the radicals. Radicals can damage the follicles and thin the hair and decrease its volume.

Antimicrobial effect 

It kills microbes and promotes healthy hair.

However, commercially prepared onion juice and onion liquid extract are available for those who do not want to make their own.

 

A  small study published in the Journal of Dermatology involved participants who had alopecia areata and it has been found that hair growth started after 2 weeks of using onion juice, which was applied to the scalp twice daily. The regrowth continuously occurred in the next four and six weeks.

Some people mix garlic, onion, lemon juice, honey to make it extra effective. The hair loss gets reduced and the hair becomes shiny and thicker. The hair becomes shinier and thicker. Although if you do not see improvement within two months consider visiting a dermatologist.
